Georgia Prepares for Coup, Claims State Security Service
A specific group of individuals is operating within the territory of Georgia, planning to orchestrate destabilization and civil unrest between October and December, with the ultimate goal of a violent change of government. This was reported by the State Security Service of Georgia, as conveyed by Sputnik Georgia.
Several scenarios for the development of events are being considered, including the establishment of so-called "tent camps," the construction of barricades near the central boulevards and strategic facilities in Georgia, the seizure and barricading of government buildings, as well as other unlawful actions that contain serious elements of provocation.
The agency has named the authors of the plan as Giorgi Lortkipanidze (former deputy head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs under Mikheil Saakashvili), former bodyguard to third president Mikhail Baturin, and Mamuka Mamulashvili, commander of the Georgian Legion in Ukraine. It is noted that the planned civil unrest in Georgia is organized with the coordination and financial support of foreign countries. The start date of the processes is set for October to December of this year.
