Map: We Have Identified Azerbaijani Military Deployments and the Location of Red Cross Vehicles, Says Tatoyan

These maps and deployments further prove that the Lachin corridor is crucial for preserving the identity of ethnic Armenians in Artsakh. This was stated by the former Human Rights Defender of Armenia, Arman Tatoyan, on his Facebook page.

“We have identified Azerbaijani military deployments from the Lachin corridor and the road to Stepanakert, and from Stepanakert to Aghdam. These maps clearly indicate the locations where agents of the Azerbaijani government’s ‘eco-activists’ were blocking the road from December 12, 2022, to April 23, 2023. The location of the Azerbaijani Red Cross vehicles has also been identified. These maps and deployments once again prove that the Lachin corridor is significant for preserving the identity of ethnic Armenians in Artsakh. The opening of the Aghdam road poses an existential threat to the Armenians of Artsakh and cannot be an alternative to the Lachin corridor,” he wrote.

Accompanying his post, he published the maps.

It is noteworthy that on August 29, Azerbaijani sources released a video regarding the transportation of so-called humanitarian aid from Baku to Stepanakert under the auspices of the Red Cross. By the evening, the residents of Artsakh had blocked the road from Aknagh (Aghdam) to Askeran to prevent the entry of Azerbaijani humanitarian aid.
