Kebabs, Shawarma, Pizza: What Do You Want to Eat? Breaks Being Prepared at Voting Stations

At the 10/17 polling station in the Erebuni administrative district, members of the commission have put food on the agenda in the presence of voters. According to 'Hetq', the head of the commission announced, 'Kebabs, shawarma, pizza, what do you want to eat?'

It was decided that they would order shawarma without onions and spicy ingredients. Moreover, secretary of the registering commission, Julieta Petrosyan, loudly declared, 'I am writing all of you down.'

Voters in the Erebuni administrative district are not eager to visit the polling stations. Commission members are inquiring about the situation at other stations. Smiles appear on their faces when they learn that the situation is the same elsewhere.

The 10/17 polling station has a list of 1,810 eligible voters. As of 12:40 PM, only 176 of them had participated in the elections. The same passive situation is also observed at the 10/16 polling station.

The media also reports, 'A voter entered here and was anxiously looking for a commission member. They had a phone in hand, and the message received showed what was happening in the area. 'I received an SMS, it says my vote is incorrect. I voted normally, I didn’t make a mistake,' the concerned voter said, who was of retirement age.

It turned out that they pressed the wrong button on their phone and received a message that was unrelated to the Yerevan municipal elections. Moments earlier, the voter had been looking for the ballot for 'September 17'. They thought that the ballots were organized in a manner corresponding to the days on the table of the commission members.
