European Court Rejects Request to Transfer the Remains of Helen Dadayan to Artsakh

The European Court of Human Rights has rejected the request to transfer the remains of Helen Dadayan, an Artsakh resident who tragically lost her life in a car accident on the Yerevan-Gyumri highway near Lanjik village on August 14. This was reported today, September 15, by Helen's uncle, Musheg Safaryan, to NEWS.am.

It is noteworthy that Azerbaijan had allowed the transfer of Helen Dadayan's body to Artsakh for the second time before imposing a ban again.

Recall that on the night of August 14, a passenger minibus branded "Volkswagen" collided with a cargo truck branded "ZIL" near Lanjik village on the Yerevan-Gyumri highway. Eleven citizens were killed in the accident, including the minibus driver and a tour guide from "Hamshen Tour," while six others sustained serious injuries. Among the injured is also the driver of the "ZIL" truck. The passengers involved in the tragic accident were returning from a trip to Western Armenia.
