Will the Main Building of Yerevan State Medical University Be Sold? Clarification from the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures

The Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures of Armenia has issued a clarification regarding the recent speculations.

“Today, various mass media outlets have disseminated information indicating that buildings belonging to the Medical University will be sold at auction, and photographs of the main building of Yerevan State Medical University were attached to this information. We would like to inform you that the distributed photographs have no relation to the information in question. In reality, the decision adopted at the Government's meeting today regarding the ‘Sale of State Property’ pertains to state-owned real estate located at 60 and 60/2 Mamigonian Street, Yerevan, along with the allocated land for its maintenance. The property is state-owned and was provided to Yerevan State Medical University under a gratuitous use agreement dated June 10, 2015, but has not been utilized for years. We must emphasize once more that the main building of Yerevan State Medical University is not being sold,” they stated.
