A Very Good Law in the U.S. Prohibits Providing Aid to Azerbaijan in Certain Cases, Says International Expert
Julya
A very good law exists in the U.S. known as the “Freedom Support Act.” This was stated by international expert Suren Sargsyan on his Facebook page.
According to the law’s Section 907, “the U.S. government is prohibited from providing any assistance to the government of Azerbaijan until the president certifies and informs Congress that the government of Azerbaijan is taking demonstrable steps to cease all blockades and the use of force against Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh.”
The law was adopted in 1992, but it seems as if it was written for today. Let us see what the U.S. government will do in this regard,” the expert wrote.
