Tensions Rise in Nagorno-Karabakh, Russia Calls for Restraint: Peskov
Julya
Moscow is concerned about the escalating tensions in Nagorno-Karabakh and calls for restraint. This was announced by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian President.
“Of course, we are worried that the tension is not easing and is even on the rise. Despite everything, Russia remains a reliable guarantor of security. We continue our communications with both Yerevan and Baku and, of course, call on both sides to exercise restraint,” Peskov told reporters.
He added that Moscow urges the parties to act in the spirit of the previously signed trilateral agreement as part of the resolution of the situation, “taking into account the new realities that have emerged since then.”
