What Does the Symbol on Azerbaijani Military Equipment Mean?

Azerbaijan has been amassing additional troops, weapons, and military equipment along the borders of the Republic of Armenia and Artsakh in recent days. Notably, Azerbaijani and subsequently Turkish media outlets and social networks have widely circulated videos showing columns of soldiers and military vehicles being transported. This is reported by Ermenihaber.am.

Remarkably, almost all vehicles in the convoy bear a symbol painted in white. From the videos, it is understood that the letter 'A' in Latin is painted upside down on these trucks.

According to circulating information in Turkish media, this symbol is depicted with the purpose of "connecting Nakhchivan and Azerbaijan." It is explained as follows: "One of the slanted lines of the '∀' character represents Nakhchivan, the other represents Artsakh, while the middle line represents Zangezur, which will link the two together."

In another claim, the upside-down Latin 'A' symbolizes "integrity, unity." According to Azerbaijani sources, this represents a determination to eliminate Artsakh and hoist the Azerbaijani flag across its entire territory.
