Video: No Amnesty or Breakthrough, Prime Minister on the Use of Administrative Levers During Election Campaigns

Mariam Z.

If it is discovered that any official at any level in Armenia is using administrative levers to take someone to a rally or election, they will be dismissed from their position. This was announced today by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a Q&A session with the government at the National Assembly, in response to a question from Gegham Nazaryan, a member of the 'Armenia' faction.

“There will be no amnesty or breakthrough. If someone wants to take people to a rally of the government, or to the opposition, wherever they want to take them, that person will be dismissed from their position. If it turns out that this person is very close to me, then first, they will cease to be related to me, and second, they will be dismissed from their position,” said Prime Minister Pashinyan.

He suggested that anyone with lists and justifications should pass them to him, promising to address the results during the next Q&A session.

Notably, a video circulated on social media recently showing a man asking and recording employees from kindergartens, schools, and other state institutions who participated in Tigran Avinyan's campaign events.
