Iran's Armed Forces Chief and Azerbaijan's Defense Minister Held Phone Conversation

The Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan has had a phone conversation with the Chief of General Staff of Iran's Armed Forces. They exchanged views on the current situation in the region and issues related to security, Azerbaijani Interfax reports.

According to Bagheri, the false information circulated by certain forces, claiming that Iran is accumulating manpower and military equipment near the Azerbaijani border and conducting various military exercises to undermine the friendship and friendly relations between the countries, has no real basis.

During the phone conversation, the prospects for developing military cooperation between the two countries were also discussed. The interlocutors expressed their opposition to the presence and intervention of foreign countries in regional issues.

At the end of the conversation, the Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan invited Bagheri to visit Azerbaijan.
