Bread in Artsakh is Made Not Only from Wheat Flour but Also from Mixed Grains: ‘Hraparak’

The situation in Artsakh is worsening day by day, with the most pressing issue being bread scarcity. The government has decided to mandate purchases from individuals, referring specifically to grain. Particularly in the communities outside Stepanakert, people have been hoarding their grains and refusing to sell, considering that the bread crisis is only going to escalate. According to the government's decision, mills are required to purchase 10-20% of the grain from residents and sell it to the state so that the government can at least provide everyone with bread through coupons.

Moreover, for several days now, bread in Artsakh is being made not only from wheat flour but also from mixed grains, including corn and other types of cereals. It is reported that the humanitarian situation has become so severe that adults in families go for days without eating bread so that there is enough for the children.

This was reported by the ‘Hraparak’ newspaper.
