Erdogan to Continue Phone Conversations with Putin to Discuss the Future of the 'Grain Deal'

The President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has announced that he will continue phone conversations with Russian President Vladimir Putin to 'revive' the Black Sea grain initiative. This was reported by Interfax, citing the Anadolu Agency.

According to the agency, the Turkish leader stated that these efforts are aimed at assisting the least developed countries in Africa. Erdogan emphasized that Ankara will continue to develop solutions aimed at opening the Black Sea grain corridor.

Additionally, he advised the West to pay attention to the fact that Turkey is the only country striving to prevent a food crisis.

It is worth noting that earlier, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov reported that there is no new date for the next round of negotiations between the presidents of Russia and Turkey regarding the 'grain deal', but the leaders agreed that if necessary, they would not wait another year to meet again.
