VIDEO: Hundreds of State Employees at Avinyan's Campaign - Misuse of Administrative Resources
Citizen Arthur Chakhoyan, known for exercising public oversight in the construction programs of the Yerevan Municipality, has uncovered a case of misuse of administrative resources during the election campaign for the Yerevan City Council.
Yesterday, on September 7, Tigran Avinyan, the mayoral candidate from the Civil Contract party, held a rally in the Nor Nork administrative district. Arthur Chakhoyan walked among the attendees of the rally and talked to those present, which revealed that community officials attended the gathering in groups to support the Civil Contract candidate.
On his Facebook page, Chakhoyan wrote: “I managed to document 743-778 cases of the misuse of administrative resources, but there were many more, about 2500 in total. In the end, the representatives of the Civil Contract party obstructed my documentation efforts, as they followed me and told people not to disclose where they came from and how many of them were present. Tigran Avinyan, Civil Contract, Nikol Pashinyan, I hope you now understand that all this time the videos I recorded were not political, and politics does not interest me; rather, what mattered was ensuring the quality of Yerevan's improvement... You also stated that this guy is doing a political order and so on, now you feel which video is political and which is NOT?
