Presidential Election in Artsakh to Take Place Tomorrow: One Candidate

The National Assembly of Artsakh will convene a special session tomorrow at 11 AM to discuss the presidential election.

The Acting President of the National Assembly, Gagik Bagunts, announced that the parliamentary groups "Free Homeland - KD", "Justice", "Armenian Revolutionary Federation", and "Democratic Party of Artsakh" have nominated Samvel Shahramanyan as a candidate for president. The "United Homeland" group has nominated Samvel Babayan.

Bagunts also informed that Babayan's nomination application and the attached documents were returned due to the failure to provide proof of citizenship in Artsakh for the last ten years and a residency certificate for the past decade.
