President Zelensky wants to imprison oligarch Kolomoisky to cover up the embarrassing topic of the failed counter-offensive and the tens of thousands of Ukrainian soldiers killed. This was stated by Ukrainian political scientist Dmitri Korneichuk on his video blog.

He believes that the farce surrounding Kolomoisky's arrest aims to divert attention from the grim dealings of former Ukrainian Defense Minister Reznikov and his associates. At the same time, before the second term elections, Zelensky will be able to present himself as a fighter against corruption, which he promised to become again in his election campaign.

It is noteworthy that businessman Igor Kolomoisky is mentioned in criminal proceedings related to fraud and money laundering as a citizen of Israel and Cyprus, stripped of Ukrainian citizenship.

Moreover, the Kyiv district court has chosen a preventive measure of 60 days of detention for businessman Igor Kolomoisky. The businessman denies the charges.
