Ukraine to Draft 'Limited Fit' Individuals
The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense has expanded the categories of men eligible for conscription into the armed forces during martial law.
According to the order published in the electronic database of the Verkhovna Rada, men classified as 'limited fit' for military service will now be drafted.
This includes individuals with diagnoses such as asymptomatic HIV, clinically cured tuberculosis, and mild short-term manifestations of mental disorders, who may start receiving notifications.
Those classified as limited fit will serve in specific military specialties as determined by a military medical commission, according to the order. The document also clarified the health requirements for those who wish to serve in airborne assault troops and naval infantry.
