No Rush on Aghdam Road Issue, Do Not Succumb to Baku: Seyran Ohanyan
What is happening in Artsakh must be lived from within, seen from the inside, felt on one's own skin in order to understand the internal upheavals. This was stated today, September 4, during a conversation with reporters in the National Assembly by Seyran Ohanyan, the head of the 'Armenia' faction.
“I believe that the current changes in Artsakh should be viewed positively. If there is a crisis in the governance system, there are also issues that lead to division, then these changes are a necessity. These changes have also been implemented due to security and all the issues that have arisen since the 2020 war. Ultimately, Artsakh is surrounded today; they are trying to gradually tighten that circle. Changes in the governance system should be made in a way that they are smooth,” he said.
Ohanyan noted that one of the important tasks of the Artsakh authorities is to prove by personal example that they are one of those 120,000. “All steps must be aimed at making Artsakh's activities more planned and organized.”
Referring to the opening of the Aghdam-Stepanakert road, Seyran Ohanyan stated that there should be no rush regarding the Aghdam road issue, and that one should not succumb to the Azerbaijanis, who will eventually have to open the Lachin corridor.
