Chinese President to Miss G20 Summit
Julya
The President of China, Xi Jinping, will not attend the G20 summit scheduled to take place in India. This was announced by the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It was noted that instead of Xi, the Prime Minister of China will represent the country at the summit.
One theory suggests that this decision is linked to the escalating tensions between China and India.
U.S. President Joe Biden expressed disappointment over Xi Jinping's absence from the G20 leaders' summit in India but added that he plans to meet with him.
Russian President Vladimir Putin will also be absent from the G20 summit for understandable reasons.
