Zahharova: 'Previously, all of this was also 'assumed', but it never materialized'

The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, stated in her Telegram channel that the new proposals for the resumption of the grain deal are practically the same unfulfilled old proposals. This information is reported by RIA Novosti.

According to the Turkish state agency Anadolu, the new package of UN proposals regarding the 'Grain Deal' implies the reconnection of Rosselkhozbanka to SWIFT and the unfreezing of Russian companies' assets. 'Previously, all of this was also 'assumed', but it never materialized,' wrote Zakharova.

It is noteworthy that earlier, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres sent a letter to Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov with a proposal to resume the grain deal.

The grain deal was suspended on July 18.
