Information Propagated by Azerbaijani Media Does Not Correspond to Reality: Armenian Ministry of Defense

The information circulating in Azerbaijani media regarding alleged casualties and injuries on the Armenian side due to an attack by Azerbaijani Armed Forces drones does not correspond to reality. On September 1, as a result of Azerbaijani provocations, 3 servicemen were killed and 2 were injured. Any further information regarding losses or victims is false.

We have reported that starting from 07:50 on September 1, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces opened intense fire towards Armenian positions located in the Sotk and Norabak communities of the Gegharkunik region. Azerbaijan also used mortar fire and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The Armenian side has confirmed 3 fatalities and 2 injuries. The soldiers killed as a result of Azerbaijani aggression belong to the same unit: Andranik Arshaki Antonian, Arsen Alexandri Mkrtichyan, and Vahagan Saroyi Vardanian.
