Surena Papikyan Meets with Parents of Missing Soldiers from the 'Chemists' Battalion
Defense Minister Surena Papikyan today met with the parents of soldiers from the 'Chemists' Battalion who went missing during the 44-day war. This was stated by one of the parents, Karine Manavazyan, in a conversation with NEWS.am.
“Papikyan promised that we would be able to understand where the boys were at that moment using satellites, and he will also re-evaluate the issue of DNA,” said Manavazyan. “He will also have separate meetings with some parents in the coming days. In any case, we did not have high expectations of him, and we still do not.”
Earlier, we reported that the Deputy Minister of Defense, Arman Sargsyan, conveyed the Minister of Defense’s willingness to meet with the parents in the near future.
It should be noted that the parents regularly hold protest actions demanding meetings with high-ranking officials.
