“When the Aghdam Road Opens, the Lachin Road Will Also Open Within 24 Hours”: Hajiyev

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's advisor Hikmet Hajiyev gave an interview to the BBC, addressing the blockade of the Lachin corridor and the launch of the Aghdam-Askeran road. According to Hajiyev, after the opening of the Aghdam (Aknal) road, the Lachin road will also be opened within 24 hours.

“The more roads there are, the better it is for everyone,” Hajiyev added, stating that Armenians in Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) are offered the same linguistic, cultural, and religious rights, including local governance rights, as other citizens of Azerbaijan.

It is worth noting that yesterday, Azerbaijani sources released a video about sending a so-called humanitarian cargo from Baku to Stepanakert under the supervision of the Red Cross. Two trucks loaded with 40 tons of flour reached Aknal (Aghdam), but in the evening, residents of Artsakh blocked the road from Aknal (Aghdam) to Askeran to prevent the entry of Azerbaijani humanitarian cargo.
