Azerbaijan Blocks Humanitarian Aid Brought to Artsakh from France
Azerbaijan has blocked the entry of humanitarian aid sent to Artsakh from various regions of France.
On August 30, vehicles loaded with humanitarian supplies dispatched from the French capital Paris and several major regions started their journey from Yerevan towards Kornidzor, intending to proceed to Artsakh.
During a press conference held in Goris, the president of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, Bertrand Xavier, stated that the passage of French assistance through the Lachin corridor has been prohibited. He condemned Azerbaijan's actions and called on the international community to take practical steps to halt the deepening humanitarian crisis in Artsakh.
The president of Artsakh, Arayik Harutyunyan, expressed hope that the ten vehicles loaded with humanitarian aid will be able to pass through the Lachin corridor and alleviate the hardships faced by the people of Artsakh. He also noted that this incident could set a precedent for other countries and local governments.
