Wagner Fighters Advised to Seek Other Employment
A representative of the Wagner Group has advised fighters to seek other employment, as the group can no longer participate in the war in Ukraine and is facing serious competition from the Russian Defense Ministry and the National Guard in Africa and the Middle East. This information has been reported by 'Vажные истории', referencing audio messages from the mercenaries. The authenticity of the recording has been confirmed by representatives of the group.
The individual mentioned in the recording describes the situation as 'extremely difficult'. 'Several tens of thousands of trained fighters are ready to work and defend their homeland, but due to certain circumstances, we are still not being let in. We are now forced to look for job options in Africa and the Middle East. The situation there is also tough; we are in stiff competition with the Defense Ministry and the National Guard, who are also planning to engage in similar activities there,' the recording states.
According to the representative of the Wagner Group, Yevgeny Prigozhin was 'addressing these issues' during his last visit to Africa, and now 'they will be resolved later by the leadership'. He noted that the Wagner Group will 'try' to secure jobs for its fighters, but 'when and to what extent is still unknown'.
'So either wait or look for alternative ways to earn money. Keep an eye on the international situation. If our team gets involved in the Special Military Operation (SMO) in Ukraine, we will actively resume recruitment efforts and there will be work,' the representative stated in the recording.
