Pskov International Airport to Reopen on August 31 After Drone Attack
Pskov International Airport, which was targeted by a drone attack, will resume normal operations starting August 31. This announcement was made by regional governor Mikhail Vedernikov, according to Meduza.
“The assessment of the civil infrastructure at Pskov Airport following the drone attack has been completed. The airport is fully prepared to receive passengers, and therefore it will continue to operate as usual starting tomorrow,” Vedernikov stated.
The governor had previously mentioned that the airport would remain closed until emergency services evaluated the extent of the runway damage.
During the night, Pskov Airport was attacked by drones, resulting in a fire and damage to four Il-76 aircraft. Eight commercial flights were canceled due to the airport's closure.
For passengers who missed their flights, additional carriages have been allocated on the Pskov-Moscow train by the Russian Railways.
