Opening of the Aghdam Road Poses Existential Threat to Artsakh Armenians: Arman Tatoyan

The opening of the Aghdam (Aknagh) road poses an existential threat to the Armenians of Artsakh and cannot serve as an alternative to the Berdzor (Lachin) corridor. This is stated in a report published by the Tatoyan Foundation.

A. The corridor guarantees the preservation of the identity of ethnic Armenians in Artsakh.

B. The Aghdam road will bypass legal restrictions imposed on Azerbaijan in the case of the corridor.

C. Azerbaijan's circumvention of international security obligations regarding the corridor will hinder the implementation of any negotiated agreement.

D. Azerbaijan will utilize the Aghdam road to conduct special military operations within Artsakh.

E. Azerbaijan will employ the Aghdam road for kidnappings of Armenians in Artsakh without any constraints.

The opening of the Aghdam road presents a full perspective of Azerbaijan's arbitrary behavior without any limitations.

A. The Aghdam road will not have any checks and balances from any third parties regarding Azerbaijan's authority or conduct.

B. There will be no internal oversight regarding arbitrariness.
