4-Meter Tree Falls on Kapan-Tatev Highway

A tree has fallen on the Kapan-Tatev highway in the Syunik region, partially blocking the road. The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia reports this.

It was noted that at 06:20 today, the Crisis Management Center of the Syunik Regional Rescue Department received a call indicating that a tree had broken and fallen onto the roadway of the Tandzaver-Verin Khotanan highway, resulting in traffic being blocked in both directions and requiring the assistance of rescuers. A team from the firefighting and rescue squad at the Agvan checkpoint was dispatched to the scene.

“It was determined that a tree (approximately 4 meters) had fallen on the 25th kilometer of the Kapan-Tatev highway, partially obstructing the road,” the Ministry of Emergency Situations stated.

Rescuers have worked together with citizens to cut up the fallen tree and remove it from the roadway. Traffic has now been restored in both directions.
