Oil Spill in Iranian Waters of the Persian Gulf

An oil spill has occurred in the Iranian waters of the Persian Gulf, in the area extending from the Genaveh port to the Iranian Khark Island oil pipeline, as reported by the Environmental Protection Organization of Bushehr Province.

“After traces of oil were discovered in the Persian Gulf along the maritime route from Genaveh to Khark, the spill was reported to the Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization, as well as to the oil terminal on Khark Island, in order to localize the spill,” the statement said.
