Relatives of Helen Dadaiyan Await Decision from Peacekeepers
The body of Helen Dadaiyan, an Armenian from Artsakh who tragically lost her life in a car accident on the Yerevan-Gyumri highway, still remains in Goris. The government of Artsakh and the parents of Helen Dadaiyan have jointly submitted a request to the commander of the Russian peacekeeping forces, asking for the transfer of the body, but there has been no response yet. This information was provided to Tert.am by Helen Dadaiyan's uncle, Mushegh Safaryan.
“We are in a waiting state, awaiting the decision of the Russian peacekeepers. The Red Cross is also unable to facilitate the transfer because Azerbaijan does not permit it. A human tragedy has occurred, yet Azerbaijan is committing barbarities by not allowing the body to reach the parents,” he stated.
Recall that on the night of August 14, on the Yerevan-Gyumri highway, near the village of Lanjik, a passenger minibus of the make 'Volkswagen' collided with a truck of the make 'ZIL'. Twelve citizens lost their lives, and five were injured. The passengers of the tragic accident were returning from a trip to Western Armenia.
