Central African Republic Comments on Prigozhin's Death
Mariam Z.
The death of businessman Yevgeny Prigozhin will not affect the cooperation between the Central African Republic and Russia, stated Fidel Guandikan, an advisor to President Faustin-Archange Touadéra, in an interview with the Financial Times.
“This is sad news (about Prigozhin’s death - ed.), he saved democracy, so our country is in mourning. But for us, it absolutely changes nothing,” he said.
Guandikan added that the agreement with Moscow allows for the continued presence of Russian instructors in the Central African Republic.
