Tigran Avinyan on Hayk Marutyan's Publication
During the pre-election campaign in the Erebuni administrative district, Tigran Avinyan, the deputy mayor and candidate for mayor from the Civil Contract party, addressed the statement made by Hayk Marutyan, the candidate for mayor from the 'National Progress' party and former mayor of Yerevan.
On his Facebook page, Hayk Marutyan wrote that the deputy chairman of the CC party's board had shared their stolen campaign video on the internet. Additionally, Marutyan noted that in one of the clips, he was removed during the signing ceremony with EU representatives and his speech was replaced by someone else's words. The former mayor published a photograph to support his claims.
In response to a journalist's question regarding this matter, Tigran Avinyan stated that if someone indeed removed Hayk Marutyan from the video, it is shameful. 'I believe that Vahagn Aleksanyan has not removed anyone from any video. It is personally shameful, and I have no comment on it. On the other hand, what the government has implemented and what the Yerevan council has initiated, along with the efforts made by Vice Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan as well (forgive me for the immodesty), it should not be attributed to just one person when an entire political team carried it out. The government is responsible for that debt, and it is the government that is repaying that debt today, with my office having initiated the efforts. Generally, no major program can be accomplished by one person; it must be carried out by a political team,' Avinyan said.
