Black Boxes of Prigozhin's Crashed Plane Found; Bodies of 10 Victims Discovered - Investigative Committee of Russia

The Investigative Committee of Russia has reported that, during investigative actions at the crash site of the personal plane of Yevgeny Prigozhin, founder of the Wagner PMC, the bodies of ten victims have been discovered. Molecular genetic examinations are being conducted to establish their identities, according to the department's statement.

According to Meduza, the black boxes of the aircraft have also been found. A detailed examination of the scene continues.

The Investigative Committee emphasized that the investigation will meticulously check all possible scenarios regarding the incident.

On August 23, Yevgeny Prigozhin's personal plane crashed in the Tver region. The founder of the Wagner PMC was on the passenger list published by Rosaviatsia. Prigozhin's death has not been officially confirmed.

Following the aviation accident, the Investigative Committee initiated a criminal case for violating safety and operational rules for transport vehicles (Article 263 of the Russian Criminal Code). According to authorities, ten people were killed, including three crew members.
