Baku Did Not Approve the Visit of the OSCE Chairman's Personal Representative to Azerbaijan
The OSCE Chairman's Personal Representative, Andrzej Kasprzyk, had planned to visit Azerbaijan in addition to his trip to Armenia; however, the official Baku did not grant approval for this visit. This was reported by the Azerbaijani APA news agency.
It is noted that Baku does not see the necessity for such a visit and considers it a 'waste of time.'
Andrzej Kasprzyk visited Kornidzor on August 25, which is at the beginning of the Lachin corridor, to familiarize himself with the situation on the ground.
Kasprzyk arrived in Armenia at the instruction of the OSCE Chairman, Bujar Osmani, to get acquainted with the situation in the Lachin corridor and report back to him.
The OSCE Chairman had announced on August 16 that he had instructed his personal representative to visit the regions adjacent to the Lachin corridor, get acquainted with the situation, and report back on the results.
