Former MP's Company Receives Another Billion from the State
Since resigning from his role as a member of parliament, Davit Sedrakyan's business affairs seem to be flourishing. In 2023 alone, various state and local self-governing bodies have made purchases totaling 1 billion 335 million drams from the company 'Bidek' LLC, which belongs to Sedrakyan. This is reported by Hetq.
The report highlights that four contracts have been signed with this company during the year, two of which are with the Yerevan Municipality, one with the Vagharsapat community administration, and one with the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports.
The largest order received by 'Bidek' LLC was from the Vagharsapat community administration. Just a few days ago, on August 18, a contract was signed in which Davit Sedrakyan’s company is obliged to carry out renovation and the construction of a new building for Kindergarten No. 6 'Arevik' in the city of Ejmiadzin for 725 million drams.
The contract with the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports is valued at 432 million drams, for which 'Bidek' LLC is to renovate the State Vocational School No. 8 in Yerevan. This contract was signed at the beginning of the year on January 24, 2023.
The other two contracts this year were commissioned by the Yerevan Municipality. According to a contract signed on June 30, 'Bidek' LLC is expected to improve the yard of Kindergarten No. 23 in the Arabkir administrative district for 120 million drams. Additionally, under a contract signed on March 1, the company carried out improvement works on the electric internal network of the Yerevan Zoo, for which it received 58 million drams.
