Accident on Sevan Highway Leaves Injured

On August 22, at 09:30 AM, the crisis management center of the Kotayk regional rescue department received a report that an accident had occurred near the Ardzvi statue on the Yerevan-Sevan highway, with injuries reported. This was announced by the Rescue Service of the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs.

A response team from the regional rescue department, a fire-fighting unit, and a rescue group from the special operations center also arrived at the scene.

It was revealed that at the 12th kilometer of the Yerevan-Sevan highway, vehicles brand "Opel" (driver R. V., born 1986), "Mitsubishi" (driver H. K.), and "Honda" (driver G. D., born 1997) collided.

Before the arrival of the rescuers, the area was secured by local forces.

In cooperation with the patrol service, rescuers assisted M. S. (born 1995), the passenger of the "Mitsubishi" vehicle, to the patrol car. The injured was hospitalized, and after receiving appropriate medical care, was discharged.

Paramedics transported R. V. (born 1985), the passenger of the "Opel" vehicle, the driver of the "Honda," and passenger S. D. (born 1997) to ambulances. The injured were hospitalized, where doctors assessed R. V.'s condition as critical, while the others were considered satisfactory.

Rescue teams disconnected the vehicles' batteries, closed the gas valve, and conducted road washing operations.
