VIDEO: The Knife Has Reached the Bone - Ruben Vardanyan
In this situation, it is meaningless to talk about positions when every day there are issues of bread, water, medicines, and more. An unreasonable person would want to assume a position or have their own agenda in such circumstances. This was stated by former Artsakh Prime Minister Ruben Vardanyan during a video bridge between Tatev and Stepanakert, in a conversation with TV host Artem Yerganyan.
“The only reason we need to make decisions today is this crisis. My call was about something else, that without ideas, without principles, without faith, we cannot achieve anything. In this state, that is the most important thing, which is the foundation for taking other actions,” he remarked.
Vardanyan noted that people are demanding answers on how to navigate the current situation. “We all need to sit together and try to answer very difficult questions and find solutions,” he emphasized.
Addressing the appeal made the previous day by Araik Harutyunyan from Hakobavank, he stated that he is not saying the president should resign; but he insists that the president must keep his promises. “Every day instilling fear in people, saying that we can't do anything, must change dramatically. In this situation, it is impossible for one person to make all decisions on these issues. Secondly, people must believe in each other, and thirdly, the leader must inspire hope, faith, and confidence in the people, not repeatedly say, 'I don't know what to do, you decide.' We are now facing a very serious crisis; the knife has reached the bone,” he concluded.
