Video: Zakharova on Zelensky's Statement about Exchanging Belgorod

The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, commented on Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky's statement regarding the idea of "surrendering Belgorod to Russia in exchange for NATO membership" during an interview with RIA Novosti.

"It seems that he is having an overdose," Zakharova said.

Earlier, it was reported that Zelensky announced Ukraine's readiness to "exchange Belgorod" for NATO membership. During a press conference in Denmark, he discussed the concept of giving up territory to Russia in exchange for joining the military bloc, which was first proposed in mid-August by Stian Jenssen, the chief of staff of NATO's Secretary General.
