Prime Minister Pashinyan came to inspect the works, and in an interview with News.am, Goris Mayor Arush Arushanyan responded to criticisms directed at him for welcoming Pashinyan despite being in the opposition.

“I will say a few things about those who criticize. First, who are they to decide what I should or shouldn’t do? Neither their life experience nor their status allows them to speak out today. During the war, they hid under their wives' skirts…” he stated.

“We are not the kind of people who resolve issues on social media platforms. I advise them to stay away if they don’t want to have problems with their jaws, nor are they numerous enough to decide what I should do. I am responsible for 30,000 people, and that many people have entrusted me to improve their quality of life,” he continued.
