VIDEO: Kursk, Russia Attacked by UAV, Casualties Reported

On the night of August 20, Kursk was attacked by a Ukrainian drone, reported Roman Starovoit, the governor of the Kursk region.

“According to preliminary information, it collided with the roof of a railway station building, after which a fire broke out on the roof,” he wrote on his Telegram channel.

As a result of the attack, five people sustained minor injuries, noted Starovoit.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin stated that an attempt was made for the UAV to fly towards Moscow from the southern direction. “It was intercepted by anti-air defense forces. Thank you to the military for their work,” said the mayor.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the Ukrainian drone was shot down using electronic warfare systems as it was approaching the capital.
