Tragic Car Accident in Vayots Dzor: One Dead, Including Children Among the Injured

On August 20, a tragic car accident occurred in the Vayots Dzor region. Around 21:05, at the 94 km mark of the Yerevan-Eraskh-Meghri highway, two cars—a BMW X5 and a Nissan—collided in the administrative area of the village of Elpin. This was reported by Shamshyan.com.

It has been noted that as a result of the accident, six individuals, including two children, were transported to the 'Yeghegnadzor' medical center with varying degrees of injuries.

“While an investigative team was examining the accident scene, the Yeghegnadzor Police Department received a report that one of the injured, having not regained consciousness, had died,” the website stated.

Based on the incident, a criminal case has been initiated at the Vayots Dzor regional investigative department. The police and the investigative department are working to determine the identities of the drivers, the deceased, and the injured parties,” the report added.
