You Are Harming the Child More, Please Stop Sharing the Video: Tatevik Stepanyan

Friends, please delete that video from your pages and urge everyone sharing it to delete it as well. This was stated by Tatevik Stepanyan, the Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs.

“You are harming the child more by subjecting him to double victimization. I have been receiving constant messages and calls regarding the video depicting violence against the child, and I want to inform you that we are aware of the incident, and law enforcement agencies are addressing it. At this moment, I kindly ask you to stop sharing the video to prevent targeting the child and others visible in the video further, which could make them more vulnerable,” she wrote.

She also added that she and the head of the Children’s Issues Department of the Ministry will be involved in the further work with the children.

It is noteworthy that a video had circulated on the internet showing apparent physical, sexual, and psychological abuse against a minor, allegedly by family members, particularly by the mother. Later, the Police of Armenia announced that the woman who had subjected the minor to violence had been identified.
