11 Dead, 5 Out of 6 Injured in Intensive Care: Ministry of Health on Victims of Tragic Accident
According to the Ministry of Health, following a traffic accident that occurred in the Shirak region last night, 5 out of the 6 injured transferred to the Gyumri Medical Center are currently in intensive care, with 4 in serious condition and one in critical condition.
“One injured person has been transferred from the Gyumri Medical Center to the intensive care unit of the Yerevan State Medical University named after M. Heratsi. According to doctors, this individual's health condition is serious,” the ministry stated.
The health conditions of 3 other injured individuals, who were transferred to the Astghik Medical Center, have been assessed as mild. They have been examined, received first aid, and have been discharged.
We express our condolences to the families and loved ones of the deceased. We wish a speedy recovery to those injured in the accident,” the ministry added.
It is noteworthy that a collision occurred on the 90th km of the Yerevan-Gyumri highway between a passenger minibus of the Volkswagen brand and a ZIL-brand truck (driver H.P., born in 1990). A total of 11 people have died.
