Upcoming Temperature Drop Expected

On August 18-19, a high fire danger situation will be maintained in Yerevan, the Ararat Plain, the foothill areas of Aragatsotn, Kotayk, Vayots Dzor, as well as in the valleys of Syunik and Tavush. This information has been provided by the Hydro-Meteorological and Monitoring Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

In the territory of the Republic of Armenia, from August 18-21, short-term rain and thunderstorms are expected in separate regions after noon, as well as at night on the 22nd. Hail is possible in some areas.

The wind will be from the west at 2-3 m/s, with gusts expected to reach 15-18 m/s during thunderstorms. The air temperature is expected to gradually decrease by 3-4 degrees from August 18-20.

In Yerevan, the weather is expected to be dry from August 18-20. Brief rain and thunderstorms are possible in the evening hours on August 21-22. Wind gusts of 12-15 m/s are anticipated in the evening hours from August 19-22.

In the capital, the air temperature will reach 35-36 degrees during the day and will drop to 27-29 degrees in the evening today.
