What to Expect from the Weather in the Coming Days
The weather in the Republic is expected to be dry without precipitation on August 17 and 19. However, on August 18 and after noon on the 20th, as well as during the night and after noon on the 21st, scattered showers and thunderstorms are anticipated in some regions.
The wind will be from the west at a speed of 2-3 m/s. In the mountainous areas of Aragatsotn and Kotayk, and in Armavir during the evening hours on August 17, a wind intensification is expected at 10-14 m/s. From August 18 to 21, and during thunderstorms, wind speeds may reach 15-18 m/s.
Temperatures are expected to gradually drop by 3-6 degrees from August 18 to 20.
In Yerevan, dry weather is forecast for August 17-19. Possible short-term rain and thunderstorms may occur on the evening of August 20, as well as during the night and evening hours of the 21st.
On the evening of August 17, wind intensification is expected at 10-13 m/s, and from August 18 to 21, at 12-15 m/s.
From August 17-19, high fire hazard conditions are expected in Yerevan, the Ararat plain, the foothill areas of Aragatsotn, Kotayk, Vayots Dzor, and the valleys of Syunik and Tavush.
