Truck Involved in Accident in Dilijan; One Hospitalized

On August 18, at 01:07, the Crisis Management Center of the Tavush Regional Rescue Service received information about a traffic accident on Tbilisi Highway in Dilijan, involving two vehicles. Rescue teams were dispatched to the scene.

It was determined that a "DAF" brand truck (driver: K. P., born in 1981) collided with a "Mercedes-Benz" vehicle (driver: S. A., born in 1997), after which the "Mercedes-Benz" struck a concrete electrical pole, which subsequently toppled over. Traffic was initially restricted to one lane.

Before rescue teams arrived, the driver of the "Mercedes-Benz" was hospitalized at a medical center, where doctors assessed the injured person's condition as satisfactory. Rescue workers disconnected the power to the "Mercedes-Benz" vehicle, and traffic was then cleared to both directions.
