Gegharkunik Governor's Office Clarification on Family Involved in Child Abuse

The Gegharkunik Governor's Office issued a clarification regarding the family of citizen Anna Arevshatyan:

“On September 20, 2022, the Family, Women, and Children's Rights Protection Division of the Gegharkunik Governor's Office (formerly the regional administration) collaborated with the Gavar Municipal Administration, Gavar Territorial Center of the State Social Service, and the Gegharkunik Regional Police Department, as well as local nonprofit organizations and the Children’s Support Center of the Fondation de l'Œuvre de l'Enfance to address the issues of Anna Arevshatyan's family living on rent in Gavar. Relevant documents regarding the work done are also available. Throughout that period, the issues facing the family were consistently monitored by the Gegharkunik Governor's Office. Financial and psychosocial support was provided, and home visits were regularly organized.”

It is noted that since May 2023, the family has relocated. Therefore, the relevant divisions of the Gegharkunik Governor's Office could not have any information regarding Anna Arevshatyan's family.
