The Likely Client for the Spyware Application is from Armenia, Additional Investigation Necessary

The United States has placed Israeli companies "NSO Group" and "Intellexa" on its federal "blacklist" due to their spyware tools, "Pegasus" and "Predator," which have recently been mentioned in reports targeting Armenian figures' phones.

It is known that at least 12 public figures in Armenia have been targeted through the Israeli "Pegasus" spyware. This information was revealed in a report by "Amnesty International." The internationally recognized organization joined the "Pegasus Project," which unites representatives from civil society and the media. The aim was to expose and prevent the use of Israeli "NSO Group" company's "Pegasus" and other spyware applications in the field of digital security.

Recently, it became known that two other companies developing spyware tools, including "Intellexa," have also been added to the U.S. government's black list. Being on such a list means restrictions when cooperating with American companies.

According to "Amnesty International," traces of the "Predator" spyware have been found in Armenian server infrastructures. The program was developed by "Intellexa." The report presented the opinion of researchers from "Meta" regarding security, stating that the likely client for the use of "Predator" is from Armenia, and additional investigation is necessary to clarify against whom and for what purpose it was used.
