Mars Has Started to Rotate Faster
NASA scientists have discovered that Mars has begun to rotate faster. This will lead to a reduction in the duration of a Martian day, as reported by Sky News, referencing studies published in the journal Nature.
The research has found that Mars is spinning more quickly than previously measured, with an annual angular millisecond acceleration of 4.4. This means that each Martian year, the duration of a day on Mars will decrease by fractions of milliseconds.
