Kyiv Submits First Report on Use of Cluster Munitions to the U.S.

Ukraine has handed over the first report to the Pentagon regarding the use of cluster munitions supplied by the U.S. to Kyiv. This was reported by CNN, citing a representative of the Ukrainian authorities.

According to sources from the television channel, the report includes data on the number of cluster shells used and the targets hit. However, the official did not provide specific figures.

In July, U.S. President Joe Biden announced that the U.S. would provide cluster munitions to Ukrainian forces due to a shortage of conventional ammunition. Ukraine received the bombs the same month. At the same time, Washington has requested Kyiv to report that cluster munitions are not being used in urban areas or densely populated areas. As noted by Anatoly Antonov, the Russian ambassador to the U.S., such supply of weapons by the American side is a serious blow to the remnants of Russian-American relations.
