Tragic Car Accident in Lori Province: 1 Person Dies on the Spot

A tragic car accident occurred in Lori Province. Today, on August 9, at around 16:10, vehicles of Mitsubishi and Opel Corsa brands collided in the section leading from Stepanavan to Lori Fortress.

According to Shamshyan.com, as a result of the accident, one person died on the spot, and four others were taken to the Stepanavan Medical Center with varying degrees of bodily injuries.

Citizens were the first to provide aid, followed by the rapid response of the Stepanavan Fire-Rescue Squad of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia. To extricate some of the injured from the vehicle, rescuers used specialized equipment.

A criminal case has been initiated by the investigative department of Stepanavan regarding the accident. The police and the investigative department are determining the identities of the drivers, the deceased, and the injured. By the investigator's order, the vehicles are being transported to the special storage area of the Stepanavan Police Department.
